our Classic Claudia Marie Dessert Mix recipe for making Mousse Marie...

8 ounces cream cheese or mascarpone, softened*

2-4 ounces sour cream

1 package Claudia Marie Dessert Mix

8 ounces heavy or whipping cream

Place softened cream cheese or mascarpone in a mixing bowl and beat until smooth. Add sour cream and continue creaming together until well blended and no lumps. After well blended, continue mixing on low speed and gradually add Dessert Mix. Beat at a higher speed until fluffy and well blended.

In a separate bowl beat whipping or heavy cream until medium to stiff peak stage. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese or mascarpone mousse mixture. Pipe or spoon into serving dishes and chill for at least one hour until ready to serve.

*Cream cheese or mascarpone should be very soft to avoid lumps when creaming, beating, and blending; do not beat whipping cream so much that it begins to turn to butter.
