Prepare Mousse Marie using a Claudia Marie Dessert Mix. Choose a flavor that will complement the wine and berries you are using. Place in refrigerator until ready to use.
Prepare either Shiraz Berries or Sangria Berries...
Shiraz Berries
In a saucepan, over low heat, dissolve 3/4 cup caster sugar with 1 cup sparkling shiraz. Sitr until sugar dissolves. Once the sugar is dissolved, turn the heat to medium and let simmer for 15 minutes or until the mixture thickens. Set aside to cool at room temperature.
Use any combination of fresh berries to make 3-1/2 cups... such as blueberries, raspberries, chopped strawberries, blackberries, cherries. Rinse/wash and pat dry. Fold into the cooled syrup mixture.
Sangria Berries
In a bowl add 3 cups berries of your choice, 2 tablespoons caster sugar, and 3 tablespoons Merlot (or red wine of your choice.) Gently fold the ingredients together and place in refrigerator for 1-1/2 hours.
Easy Elegance plating suggestion... using individual serving dishes top a scoop of Mousse Marie with either Sangria Berries or Shiraz Berries. You can also top with a dollop of whipped cream for extra creaminess.
